Hace 50 años los Kinks imaginaron que la corrupción política en Inglaterra traería consigo una revolución promovida por los puritanos. No se equivocaron del todo, pues eso fue lo que ocurrió en Irán muy poco después. En Europa no ha llegado a pasar, pero sí es curioso que la corrupción en España nos trajo una nueva izquierda que al llegar al poder su propósito es acabar con una parte de lo que según esta canción, querían acabar los puritanos. Es curioso, porque para los puritanos, todo lo relacionado con el sexo es perversión, pero para esta nueva izquierda hay cosas relacionadas con el sexo que son muy chulas, la homosexualidad y los sodomitas (le pongo este término porque es como se refiere la canción) y otras que son perversas y quieren acabar con ellas (la lujuria, la pornografía).
